Meet the Mermaids: Alexis

'Tis the season to be jolly, and all is merry and bright here in the studio. We can't wait to kick back and relax with loved ones, and we're so grateful for the camaraderie and the bonds of sisterhood of our Grit & Grace family as we sail through these last few days until Christmas.

Today, we're celebrating one of our happiest and most cheerful Grit & Grace ladies: Alexis!

Everyone needs a friend that makes you laugh, no matter what, and Alexis is that friend to Grit & Grace Studio. This gorgeous mermaid brings so much creativity, positive energy, and unique sparkle to our Flagship store!

Alexis is also incredibly talented, compassionate, and hardworking, and she is the personal shopping guru behind our personally curated gift baskets this holiday season. We hope you enjoy getting to know Alexis, just as we have!

Grit & Grace Family: Alexis

How did you find your way to Grit & Grace Studio?

Through our awesome community. I worked as an ophthalmic assistant/ stenographer for the past 6 years, and my heart was just never in it. And I found Grit & Grace Studio, and my heart has never been happier.

What do you do at Grit & Grace?

I am a production artist. So I get to paint and craft and put my love into the oysters!

You’re currently helping clients curate gift boxes. Tell us about that! What’s the most rewarding aspect of this task?

I love hearing about their loved ones, and I get to help them put that love into a gift. That makes my heart happy. I get to meet pretty amazing people from all over that come into the shop. I think that is pretty awesome!

What are your favorite gender-neutral products for your curated gift boxes?

The baby Zooties are one of my favorites, and the New in Town Onesie is just the cutest!

You’re also an amazingly talented painter, and we’re so thrilled to have some of your pieces available in our Flagship studio. Tell us about your work.

People, places I travel to, and nature. It makes me so happy to get to do what I love and see how happy my art makes others.

What three Grit & Grace Studio products are on your Christmas list this year?

The Gilded Oyster Dishes, The World Is Your Oyster Tea Towels, and the resin flower bookmarks.

New Year’s is fast approaching. Where are your three favorite places to grab a glass of champagne?

I love going to Henry’s for a drink, Franny and the Fox, and you just can’t go wrong with Stars!

What are your hopes and dreams for the new year?

To continue to be happy and continue to do what I love at Grit & Grace!
