Meet the Mermaids: Jess
Jess, a true coastal grandmother, originally from New England, is our dedicated Marketing Manager. She steers our crew, ensuring a smooth sail and that everything stays on course. She loves new product launches and collaborating with like minded brands. During her free time, you will find her at the barn, riding her horse Benjamin or nestled under a shady oak tree cooking up some delicious food. We are so excited for Jess this next year, as tomorrow she's getting married and starting a new chapter in her life!
Where are you from?
Born and raised New Englander! I grew up in a town called Darien, CT right outside of NYC. I moved to Charleston with my Husband in 2019 and love it!
What are you passionate about?
Simple living is a passion of mine. A cool breeze, good food and animals are all I need. I'm passionate about marketing brands in their most authentic way and inspiring people to live that lifestyle.
How do you practice sustainability in your personal life?
I try to use a lot of clean products with sustainable packaging and values. I always have a reusable bag with me for farmers markets and grocery stores.
What do you do in your free time?
I'm either cooking, riding my horse, cuddling with my dog Reese, or sitting at the beach reading a book and having some laughs with my Husband.
What are you most proud of recently?
Work wise I feel like I have created really loyal, solid, and supportive relationships with my G&G family. Personally I just planned my wedding over the past year and the wedding happens to be tomorrow!
What roles have you done at G&G and how has that evolved over time?
I am the Marketing Manager but have dabbled in all aspects of the company during my onboarding period. From manning the shop at 478 to sorting through oysters at the Port. I have enjoyed getting to know the ins and outs of this brand.
