Meet the Mermaids: Tristen
Meet Tristen, our bubbly, fun loving, swifty gal! She's new to the team but already feels like everyone's little sister and we just LOVE her. She has a great eye for design and brightens all of our days. You'll find her working at our 125 King St store or cooking up some magic within our marketing team.

Dresden, Tennessee
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about my paintings and graphic design work, videography, music, traveling, my faith, my family, and experiencing new things!
How did you find your way into the G&G family?
The first time I visited Charleston before making the move here, I stumbled upon Grit & Grace and was immediately in love with our oyster shell products, and the magic of the store stuck with me. I didn’t even have a job lined up when I decided to move my life 11 hours away, but I was lucky enough to come across an opportunity here at Grit & Grace and I was welcomed with so much love and open arms!
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I love to hang out with friends, explore Charleston, FaceTime my little sister, work in my art, and spend time with my boyfriend Fisher and our dog Willow.
What are you most proud of recently?
Recently, I’m proud of the person I’ve become here in Charleston. I moved here with the mindset that I could be a new version of myself, one that I never could have been in Tennessee. I could be who I want and do what makes me happy without the fear of judgment here in Charleston! I feel like I have really followed through with just being ME here and I am so proud of that!
What roles have you done at G&G and how has that evolved over time?
I have started out as a full-time creative concierge here at Grit & Grace. I get to help customers, create ornaments, do custom inscriptions, permanent jewelry, and much more! I’ve been so fortunate to have people around me who believe in me, as I’ve been able to start creating content for our Instagram and voice my many ideas! I can’t wait to see how my role here at Grit & Grace progresses even further in the future!
